Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart; Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art. Thou my best Thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light. Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word; I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, I Thy true son; Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one. Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight; Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower: Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power. Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, Thou mine Inheritance, now and always: Thou and Thou only, first in my heart, High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art. High King of Heaven, my victory won, May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Rescue Me 05:58
Psalm 71 1 In you, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. 2 In your righteousness, rescue me and deliver me; turn your ear to me and save me. 3 Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of those who are evil and cruel. 5 For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth.
6 From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb.
 I will ever praise you.
7 I have become a sign to many; you are my strong refuge.
8 My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long. 9 Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.
10 For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.
11 They say, “God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him.”
12 Do not be far from me, my God; come quickly, God, to help me.
13 May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace. 14 As for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more. 15 My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all.
16 I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. 19 Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,
you who have done great things. Who is like you, God?
20 Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
 21 You will increase my honor and comfort me once more. 22 I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God;
I will sing praise to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you—
 I whom you have delivered.
24 My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long,
for those who wanted to harm me
have been put to shame and confusion.

1. Come, thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace; streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it, mount of thy redeeming love. 2. Here I raise mine Ebenezer; hither by thy help I'm come; and I hope, by thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; he, to rescue me from danger, interposed his precious blood. 3. O to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be! Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; here's my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above.

Just As I Am 03:32
1. Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidst me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. 2. Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. 3. Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. 4. Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind; sight, riches, healing of the mind, yea, all I need in thee to find, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. 5. Just as I am, thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; because thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come. 6. Just as I am, thy love unknown hath broken every barrier down; now, to be thine, yea thine alone, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Revelation 21 The Message (MSG) Everything New 1I saw Heaven and earth new-created. Gone the first Heaven, gone the first earth, gone the sea. 2I saw Holy Jerusalem, new-created, descending resplendent out of Heaven, as ready for God as a bride for her husband. 3-5I heard a voice thunder from the Throne: "Look! Look! God has moved into the neighborhood, making his home with men and women! They're his people, he's their God. He'll wipe every tear from their eyes. Death is gone for good—tears gone, crying gone, pain gone—all the first order of things gone." The Enthroned continued, "Look! I'm making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate." 6-8Then he said, "It's happened. I'm A to Z. I'm the Beginning, I'm the Conclusion. From Water-of-Life Well I give freely to the thirsty. Conquerors inherit all this. I'll be God to them, they'll be sons and daughters to me. But for the rest—the feckless and faithless, degenerates and murderers, sex peddlers and sorcerers, idolaters and all liars—for them it's Lake Fire and Brimstone. Second death!" The City of Light 9-12One of the Seven Angels who had carried the bowls filled with the seven final disasters spoke to me: "Come here. I'll show you the Bride, the Wife of the Lamb." He took me away in the Spirit to an enormous, high mountain and showed me Holy Jerusalem descending out of Heaven from God, resplendent in the bright glory of God. 12-14The City shimmered like a precious gem, light-filled, pulsing light. She had a wall majestic and high with twelve gates. At each gate stood an Angel, and on the gates were inscribed the names of the Twelve Tribes of the sons of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, three gates on the west. The wall was set on twelve foundations, the names of the Twelve Apostles of the Lamb inscribed on them. 15-21The Angel speaking with me had a gold measuring stick to measure the City, its gates, and its wall. The City was laid out in a perfect square. He measured the City with the measuring stick: twelve thousand stadia, its length, width, and height all equal. Using the standard measure, the Angel measured the thickness of its wall: 144 cubits. The wall was jasper, the color of Glory, and the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. The foundations of the City walls were garnished with every precious gem imaginable: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate a single pearl. 21-27The main street of the City was pure gold, translucent as glass. But there was no sign of a Temple, for the Lord God—the Sovereign-Strong—and the Lamb are the Temple. The City doesn't need sun or moon for light. God's Glory is its light, the Lamb its lamp! The nations will walk in its light and earth's kings bring in their splendor. Its gates will never be shut by day, and there won't be any night. They'll bring the glory and honor of the nations into the City. Nothing dirty or defiled will get into the City, and no one who defiles or deceives. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life will get in.

about

100% of the proceeds of Heart & Soul will go directly to 2nd Mile Missions and their High School building project. We have a goal of raising $30,000 by November 25th but I have set no cap.

It was last year, almost to the day.

I remember finding myself in the greater Chicago area at a conference with eleven or so leaders from our family business.

It must have been the end of the last session. A challenge was being delivered to those of us gathered at the South Barrington campus along with tens of thousands of others engaged around the globe via satellite.

I don’t remember too much detail other than this…

He had my attention.

Not the speaker…

I’m not even sure who he or she was, but it was almost as if God himself sat down beside me, gave me a little poke, and said, “Jeff, I WANT IT ALL!”.

My wallet and bank account were both empty, and before I could even think thru what had just happened I found an envelope in my left hand while my other hand was buried deep into my right pocket pulling out a candy bar wrapper, a receipt, and about $.79.

Let me back up for a minute...

For us, this event was a business trip so our meals, transportation and lodging were taken care of. On top of that, Jen (my wife) gave me $5 to spend however I wanted!

Well, day two of the conference I splurged a little and ended up purchasing a snickers bar and an orange juice, which brings us to the $.79 left over.

So I’m sitting there with this white envelope in one hand and a small fist full of change in the other.  I stuck every last penny I had in the envelope and just before I sealed it shut I realized He wanted more...

After a few awkward rounds of internal wrestling, I reached down into my left pocket, pulled out my pen and
on the back of the envelope I wrote this...

“Take my music God, It’s yours!”.

I licked the envelope, sealed it up, turned it over and my eyes were drawn to a quote printed on the other side.

“God is looking for women and men who are full on for Him—people who have abandoned their own program
and are just looking for how they can use their unique talents and abilities to further God’s activities and programs in this world.  These are the people God will tap on the shoulder and say, ‘Come with me and we’re going to do something great in your lifetime.  Come, we’re going to do this together.’ “

--Bill Hybels, WCA Chairman of the Board

A year later, this is where I find myself.

I’ve been tapped on the shoulder and I can’t ignore it anymore. I've intentionally chosen to abandon my own program surrendering it over to Him. I have committed to using my unique talent and ability to further God’s activities and programs in this world… Have you?

That’s what this new solo piano album Heart & Soul is all about.

He plays the base line and we play the melody. For some reason most of us are content just sitting on the bench watching Him play his part over and over again.

My challenge to you is jump in and start playing your part!

This Solo Piano album is a collection of sixteen songs I have written and arranged to quietly help you or a loved one relax your body, reflect on your life, and renew your soul.

In light of the “tapping” I'll call it, I have been moved to donate 100% of the proceeds of Heart & Soul toward the building of the 2nd Mile Education Center (high school)Providing continued nutrition, education and Hope found only in Christ to the children in Bavaro, Dominican Republic.
Construction is already underway!

Gary Haugen, President and CEO of International Justice Mission put it this way…
“God doesn’t ask for what is needed, He asks ‘What do you have…’ then says, ‘Give it all to Me.’” (The five loaves of bread and two fishes)

What do you have?
Give it completely over to Him and watch it Multiply!

Thanks in advance for listening!

In Jesus name,
Jeff
